The 2018 Bigwave Business Games are off!
The Bigwave Business Games are an annual sporting event held by creative growth agency, Bigwave media. The games see several influential businesses from across Exeter compete in eight corporate events, from clip n climb to bell boat racing, with the aim of being crowned the overall champions.
The games kickstarted on Friday 4th May with a very animated fixture of Ten Pin bowling. Amongst those fighting for victory were employees from Flybe, the Met Office, Sandy Park and Crowdcube.
Players had the opportunity to play their joker – a bonus which gives them the opportunity to double their points. However, this can only be used on one event and therefore must be used wisely.
Only one team opted to play this card – Chartered Accountants, Bishop Fleming. This has shot them to the top of the leader board, ahead of the winners of the Ten Pin Bowling Event, South West Water.
Possibly not for long, however. The next event, the Treasure Hunt, is taking place tonight. Teams will have to navigate their way around Exeter in a bid to solve clues and climb their way up the leader board.
