Are you a UK registered charity or non-profit organisation?

If so, you’re most probably missing out on over £84,000 free advertising credit per annum from Google grants for non-profits organisations. That is £7,000 per month of free advertising credit to use as you wish, whether that be brand awareness, event promotion, recruiting more volunteers or staff, promoting your charity’s services or increasing donations.

Bear in mind this can only be used on Google Search network, not social media channels or display. It’s still free credit which will make a massive difference to any charity. So, let us help you make that difference.

What is Google non-profit grants?

Google works with more than 35,0000 non-profits across more than 50 countries worldwide. That’s a total free amount of credit of over £3 billion a year from Google to charities. High five to Google!

Why advertise on Google search results?

Google is the most powerful and popular search engine in the World! Increase your charities income by appearing above your competitors. Increase website traffic, sales, phone calls, donations and so much more

At Bigwave media in Exeter, we can make it a simple process for you, by helping you go through the steps needed to submit your application successfully, creating a Google AdWords account which will be approved and managing your account to get the most impact.

This process is quite complex and can take from 2-3 weeks from start to finish. Which is why we prefer to manage this process in house to ensure a quick and smooth process.

How do I qualify for Google ad grants?

Governmental businesses such as hospitals, schools, colleges and Universities are unfortunately not eligible for Google for Non-profits, but philanthropic arms of educational institutions are eligible. Here’s the requirements for applying

  • Ensure you’re eligible
  • Apply via the application form
  • Hold a valid charity status in your country with a charity number
  • Agree to Google policies including non-discrimination and donation receipt and use
  • Ensure you have a live website which should have a substantial amount of content
  • Create an AdWords account using strict specifications set from Google to ensure it is compliant.

That’s it, you’re all set and ready to go!

Does the AdWords account need maintenance once set up?

YES! The most important thing is to ensure the ad account is monitored and improved on a monthly basis.

If you don’t log into the account each month and maintain above 5% CTR for two consecutive months, your account will be cancelled. It’s as simple as 1,2,3. Just please ensure it is above 5!

If you’re being given £7,000 of free credit a month, it would be a wise decision to invest in an agency who can maintain your keywords to ensure the highest possible CTR and results.

Rather than wasting money on terms like “gym bench for sale” or “free skateboard games”. A dedicated PPC expert can maintain the CTR higher by using strategies such as device targeting, location bid adjustments, demographic exclusions, ad extensions such as sitelinks and contact numbers for more attractive looking adverts and higher return on investment.
